Fake Document Alert:
The presentation of counterfeit documents poses a serious threat worldwide. The advanced developments in computer software and printing technologies has made the production of fake documents relatively easy. This Organization (JIO) has come to know about different type of fake certificates for vehicles & other goods exporting from Japan:

  • Fake Deregistration certificate
  • Fake Export Certificate
  • Fake Vehicle History Record
  • Fake Radiation Certificate
  • Fake Certificate of Conformity (COC)

To avoid risk of fake document(s) and security measure, all documents issued by JIO are also attested by Japan Anti-Fraud Organization (JAFO). Any document(s) without official attestation by JAFO should be consider as “fake document“.

Anyone who makes or knowingly uses, sells, or possesses with intent to use or sell, any such forged or counterfeited certification or any device for imprinting a forged or counterfeited certification is a criminal offence. Creating fake documents with the intention to deceive is a form of fraud and serious crime in Japan. Japanese Police Department is very strict against fake document creation and presentation.

Fake Certificates may look authentic. Japan Inspection Organization (JIO) would like to alert the concerned authorities related to automobile registration and importation in all countries to be extra vigilant and “Beware of fake documents”.

To ensure that each certificate is genuine, issued by Bureau of Transportation at the Ministry of Land Infrastructure Transport and Tourism (mlit) Government of Japan, this Organization (JIO) would like to alert concerned authorities in all countries to carefully check, each certificate is Attested with Authorized Signature & official “Endorsed Stamp” by “National Agency for Road Safety and Environment Protection” and not a counterfeit document.
