Vehicle Export Documents Verification

Export Certificate verification

In Japan vehicle export certificate also called as de-registration certificate and/or export certificate is an authenticated legal document issued by Ministry of Transport (Department of Transportation) when a vehicle is schedule for export to overseas country. It contains key details like the chassis number (VIN), last owner’s name & address, vehicle size, engine type, and other important details about the vehicle. This document is required for Customs clearance in Japan and registration process in exported country.

However, some cases were reported about altering or using counterfeit or forged vehicle export certificate. To avoid risk of fake or altered/forged vehicle export certificate, the Japan Inspection Organization issued a verification certificate that verify that the export certificate issued by the Department of Transportation (Ministry of Transport) in Japan is genuine without any illegal alteration or forgery. The purpose of “Certificate of Verification” is to ensure that contents of vehicle export certificate are correct and authenticated.

To ensure the authentication, the certificate of verification will be duly Attested by the “Japan Anti Fraud Organization “JAFO”. The “verification certificate” will be issue within 3-5 working days after receiving official appilication.
